Best Deer Seasonings for Jerky
Hunting season is almost here and this year, we want all our hunters to make the best jerky possible. One of the issues hunters and home processors face is, what seasoning should be used? Well, we polled the Meatgistics Community for their favorite Jerky Seasoning, and here are their answers to help you pick the "best" seasoning!
The voted best Jerky Seasoning is Walton's Bold Jerky Seasoning. It is formulated from our most popular selling snack stick seasoning and has the perfect blend of enough heat for a little kick, but not enough to feel too spicy. Coming in at #2 is Pepper & Garlic, a more traditional-style jerky seasoning that is a match made in heaven for both whole muscle and restructured jerky. Our #3 spot goes to Colorado Spicy; a classic beef jerky seasoning with a hint of red and black pepper, plus no MSG!

Rounding out the top 5 is Teriyaki seasoning and Colorado Normal. The Teriyaki Seasoning adds a flavor that is an excellent alternative from a basic jerky seasoning, as it also adds a touch of heat. Finally, the Colorado Normal blends salt, sugar, mustard seed, and garlic powder. These seasonings will make great jerky out of beef, deer, elk, or any other wild game!
