"2022 has been an amazing year! Our dedicated staff is proving that our model for getting youth outdoors hunting and fishing is scalable and replicable. Since 2019 we have been able to double the number of events we have organized year over year over year. We believe we can grow another 50% again next year! This is only possible with the generous support of our mentors and donors who enable us to do what we do."

Youth We Serve

Pass it On's mission is to match caring adults with a passion for the outdoors with children that want to learn about the outdoors, and in 2022 they did just that! Out of the 1,100 kids served this year, 142 participated in more than 1 event; there were 132 shooting sports teams engaged, 21% of participants were females, and 13% of participants were first time hunters!

Mentor Update

Pass it On has 331 Mentors who came from various conservation groups, including Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, Delta Waterfowl, National Wild Turkey Federation, Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and other avid outdoorsmen and women.

Pass it On mentors spent 2,880 hours of mentorship in the outdoors. 82% of their mentors have hunted the species they are mentoring more than 10 times. 80% of their mentors go hunting more than 10 times a year, and 88% of their mentors have been hunting for over 10 years!

Performance Recap

Pass it On Mentors had 500+ events organized in 2022 and 11 marketing events. They raised $260k in fundraisers, committed 14 sponsors, and recevied $160k in grants and sponsorships.

Pass it on has some lofty goals for 2023! They hope to expand into 2 additional states outside of Kansas and Iowa. They would like to add another full-time Program Coordinator to their Iowa team and see each of their Program Coordinators increase their planning and partnership efforts. Their biggest goal is to add more corporate sponsors to out list of supporters!

Ways You Can Help

One of the best and most rewarding ways to help is to become a mentor! It's easy to volunteer; check out Pass it On's simple mentor application and one of the program coordinators will be in touch to get you started.

Another way you can help is to show your support with a generous donation. With your donation, they will put more smiles on kid's faces, taking them outdoors hunting and fishing! You can donate here and check out their raffles.
