Grilling planks are perfect for infusing a smoky flavor into any cut of meat, but especially popular with grilled and smoked fish. Each plank is 6" x 12" in size. Simply soak the wood grilling plank in water for 20 minutes prior to grilling or smoking, then place your meat on the plank and place on your grill or smoker. Each plank can be used multiple times, but after 3 uses, we do typically recommend replacing it. Cooking on a wood plank helps keep meats moister and while the meat cooks it can baste in its own juice without needing to add additional oil or fats.

  • Submerge wood grilling plank in water for 20-30 minutes prior to grilling
  • Pre-heat grill or smoker to 400-425°
  • Place soaked plank on grill and close grill or smoker and let it warm up for 2-3 minutes (or until it begins to smoke)
  • Place food on wood plank and grill until proper internal meat temperature is reached
  • If the plank does catch on fire, douse with water from a water bottle or spray bottle as needed
  • Serve food from the grilling plank, but use tongs or heat resistant gloves
  • Cleanup with warm soapy water - wash/rinse and leave to air dry
  • Store in a paper bag for best storage results
  • For disposal, simply discard when cool, or cut up and crumble the board into small pieces and add to charcoal for additional smoke and flavor on future smoking
